INTRODUCTION

I AM is Indian Awareness Movement.
Each Indian is endowed with a Birth duty to respect, honor and defend his country. IAM is initiated to make it possible. IAM is the basic awareness guide to give a better image to the nation.
Starting with the following principles, IAM intends to polish the outlook and perception of citizens towards India. A simple note: Our country is not a geographical location. Rather, its the culture, traditions and attitude of the people that define a country. When a foreigner thinks of our country, the picture he made in his mind is not of the land and contour of India, but of the attitude and life-itude of the men and women in the country. When we think of United States, for example, we think of how they drive in disciplined lanes., how they keep their surroundings clean., how they address a person and many more things which have been inculcated into them out of years of self-discipline. If anyone of us have seen few international movies where they shoot in India, all they show is dirty lanes, roadside spit stains, dirty foot paths, garbage all over. This is not an image that a movie gave to an audience. This is the image that we have been giving to them over several past years. Hopefully, I could say 'Past years'. Lets not maintain the same image over and over again.

A.
Maintain harmony. Emotionally and socially.

B.
Be polite with any person you come across.
Be it the auto driver or your personal physician. Simple gestures like a smile on the face while talking to another person can eventually establish the first principle. Respect given never goes without reciprocation.

C.
Cleanliness.
Personal and Environmental. Garbage has a destined place to go. And that destined place is not a footpath but a garbage can. Like we defecate only in the toilet and not elsewhere each individual should be stressed on how to make proper use of garbage cans and hence keep the surroundings clean. Needless to mention the necessity for personal hygeine, a good personal hygiene and clean body gives us a good respected welcome anywhere we go.
For instance, when a person knocks at our door saying "You called the municipal office regarding some water leakage"., and after we open the door, there's this good looking young man, properly shaved, neatly dressed and face decorated with smile, we have no other option but to give him a proper and respectful treatment. On the contrary, if that person is in soiled shirt, and filthy hair, we treat him like we have been in the past years.

(..to be contd.)
